So long, East Bay: Monday’s full-day workshop for the East Bay chapter of STC proves to be a hit. There are 40 participants from chapters all over the area. They seem to enjoy themselves and they take all the exercises very seriously:
It’s a fun and challenging group, and by the end of the day, I’m exhausted. Chapter member Gwaltney Mountford takes me out for dinner:
We find a little Vietnamese place where we sample a variety of fresh rolls and different beers. The restaurant, a modest little place, sports a fountain at the entrance. I am not sure of the significance of mutant horses in Vietnamese culture, but they are singularly disturbing.
